I just realized I never said I loved you this morning.
I guess that wasn't unusual.
Lots of kids don't say bye to their moms in the morning.
I was late.
You were late.
It just slipped our mind.
But now you're gone.
Gone.
Forever.
And Dad and me?
We're just little kids, totally lost without our provider.
The one who picked us up.
The one who leaned the wounds.
The one who spoke words of encouragement.
And set us on our way.
Jesus, that isn't fucking fair.
You were a business woman, not a military officer.
You didn't hurt anyone.
You're gone now, though, because some dumb bastar
